About Seaton Chamber
Seaton Chamber was born out of a shared vision to contribute to the town's development and prosperity. In June 2022, key local stakeholders—Steve Waite, James Tribble, Eleanor Carr, and Carl Northcott—were invited to join the Seaton Regeneration Strategy as individual business owners. This initiative, led by East Devon District Council and Devon County Council, aimed to create a comprehensive plan for Seaton's future, focusing on sustainable growth, economic vitality, and community well-being.
Formation of the Chamber
As discussions within the Regeneration Strategy progressed, it became clear that there was a need for a more structured and unified voice to represent the interests of Seaton’s business community. By February 2023, the decision was made to establish the Seaton Chamber. This initiative was driven by a collective commitment to support local businesses, foster collaboration, and ensure that the business community plays a vital role in Seaton’s ongoing regeneration efforts.Â
Our Role
The Chamber is committed to working closely with the Seaton Regeneration Strategy and other community initiatives. We aim to be a proactive participant in shaping Seaton’s future, advocating for local businesses, and creating opportunities for economic growth. Our ongoing projects include collaborating with various stakeholders to drive forward key elements of the regeneration plan, promoting tourism, and supporting new and existing businesses in Seaton.
